Our client is a leading global semiconductor manufacturer supplying tier-1 customers across safety-critical industries including automotive. The client's name is disclosed to shortlisted candidates at interview stage.

- Location: Bangkok metropolitan area, Thailand

- Salary: up to THB 95,000 / month, negotiable on experience

- Start date: subject to candidate notice period

ROLE OVERVIEW

Manager-level procurement role owning sourcing strategy, supplier qualification, and cost / commodity analysis for the site. Significant focus on automotive-grade supplier management, IATF audit support, and contingency-sourcing strategy across global regions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned to business, quality and cost objectives.

- Manage supplier onboarding, qualification and evaluation.

- Develop contingency sourcing strategies (Plan B) to mitigate supply chain risk for automotive-related operations.

- Manage both overseas and local suppliers; lead supplier qualification, sourcing activity and local resource development.

- Support supplier transition and localisation initiatives across global sourcing regions (Europe, Asia, China).

- Support IATF audit requirements and ensure procurement documentation compliance.

- Use AI tools and digital solutions (e.g. Copilot) to improve sourcing efficiency, spare-part management and procurement operations.

- Drive Total Cost Optimisation initiatives.

- Conduct market research and monitor commodity trends including London Metal Exchange (LME) to support sourcing and pricing strategy.

- Analyse market price fluctuations and provide procurement insights to inform business decisions.

- Identify root causes of supplier / quality issues; partner with Supplier Quality on corrective and preventive actions.

- Handle supplier claims, corrective action follow-up and quality issue resolution with buyers and cross-functional stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, or Engineering.

- Strong market research, commodity analysis and pricing-trend monitoring background (including LME).

- Strong Total Cost analysis capability.

- Strategic and/or operational procurement experience in any industry.

- Sourcing and localisation experience for raw materials and manufacturing-related suppliers.

- Cost analysis experience, preferably referencing LME standards.

- Familiar with 8D methodology and quality issue handling.

- Understanding of IATF requirements and audit processes.

- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis.

- Supplier corrective action management and claim handling experience.

- Comprehensive global supply chain and procurement best-practice knowledge.

- Analytical, data-driven decision making.

- Excellent negotiation, leadership, project management and interpersonal skills.

- Comfortable working under pressure and independently.

- Good command of English (written and verbal).
