Job Title: Staff Specialist – Operations Planning & Controlling
Location: Onsite (Thailand) with occasional travel
Salary Range: 60,000 – 75,000 THB
Overview
We are partnering with a leading global technology manufacturing company seeking a Staff Specialist – Operations Planning & Controlling. This role will act as a key interface between internal operations and external suppliers/subcontractors, ensuring production alignment, on-time delivery, and supply chain efficiency.
This position is primarily onsite and may involve occasional travel to supplier locations.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors regarding production loading, delivery schedules, and capacity planning.
- Conduct regular performance alignment meetings with suppliers.
- Manage supplier discussions and drive accountability on delivery commitments.
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Monitor wafer supply and manage daily production loading based on demand forecasts, material availability, and capacity constraints.
- Align production plans with customer demand requirements (e.g., forecast and production plans).
- Manage urgent, upside, and recovery requests effectively.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Track Work-in-Progress (WIP) and manage line priorities to ensure on-time delivery.
- Drive issue resolution including expedites, rework coordination, and recovery planning.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of die bank and WIP with finance and external partners.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Drive improvements in delivery performance and cycle time.
- Identify supply chain bottlenecks and implement corrective action plans.
- Support system integration and supply chain improvement initiatives (e.g., SAP, global planning systems).
Administrative & Project Support
- Manage PR/PRAW submissions and support new product builds.
- Coordinate engineering samples and related documentation.
- Contribute to cross-functional supply chain projects and system enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, operations planning, or supply chain coordination.
- Experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Strong experience working directly with suppliers or subcontractors.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (or equivalent ERP/MES systems).
- Good command of English (spoken and written).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
